"Crazy" - International!

Hi all! I like to read blogs craftswomen, I read blogs almost daily. But I myself, in April has not written at all or anything. Corrects her mistake. I have to try your hand at my new technique of "crazy-wool''. I made ​​a tunic for my daughter. I knitted bodice, but the sleeves and bottom tunic made ​​crazy.

Crazy do so: on the pattern of water-soluble nonwoven impose a pattern of yarn (yarn can be spread very densely, but I wanted openwork detail) and covers the second piece of water-soluble interlining. Gently  consolidate the sandwich sewing pins and stitch on the sewing machine up and down.  Width between the stitches of 2 cm (about 1 inch)  When the work was finished, I washed in warm water and dissolve interlining. Sewn detail to the bodice and ... done! It's easy! At first my daughter did not like the tunic. She said: "Only the crazy can to put " crazy ", but now she's happy to dress tunic. Little girls so fickle! :-)

I used yarn from Italy, Turkey and Australia, a watersoluble flizelin from Germany, my hands from Russia. Turned "Crazy" - International!

Several brooches

I made a few brooches - flowers. I tried to make 2 roses and dahlias.

How well I got, you decide. Brooches is small: yellow rose - 6cm, Red Rose - 8cm, dahlia - 8cm.

I love felted projects now and not beading. But in a brooch, I added beads. Fuchsia - my favorite flower, the stamens and the leaves I had made of beads.

Vest "Marble"

 

Vest "Marble. " This vest I made earlier than a skirt "Rose", but I long could not choose the button for him. I painted the silk "as marble, " I do not know is whether the marble of that color, but I really like this coloring. Hand coloring and painting on silk - very exciting.

When I started doing the hood, I thought: 'My God, why I decided to make the hood, well, why me all these difficulties? "

When I did the damn hood, I was very pleased with the result.

Skirt "Rose".

Finally I can show you my new work. In order to create it, I had to learn a new technique for me - batik. My hobbies occupy too much space. I do not know how my family still withstands it! First there was a table for felting (it is very big), and now the frame for batik ... The house is reigning my hobbies. What luck to have a family in which you have the support and understanding! I took silk, painted it, added hair and got Nuno-felt. This skirt has no seam on the wrong side.

The idea of this skirt came at me in the summer. Do not be too strict for my rose, I am not a professional artist.

Why I like Felting?

I sew a long time and I love to sew. But, despite a large selection of fabrics in the stores, I often went away without buying. I do not find what I want. With the felt is easy: I simply create a "fabric" what I want. I am very pleased with the process and results! But ... Felt that I did - it's thick and the heat felt. Now I want a thin felt. I decided to make a Nuno-Felt and I bought a silk, a lot of silk. But ... Silk white. It seemed boring and I decided to paint it.

First way:

This was my first experiment in Nuno-felting. When the first joy had passed, I realized that I had to make a fringe. Young bush vines liked my scarf.

Many people say to me: "Yes, today is your felting looks nice, but what will happen to him after a while?" I sewed for my daughter's coat of felt. I live in southern Russia and is usually cold autumn begins in November, but this autumn started very early, and in October it was very cold. My daughter started wearing this coat on October 5. Why do I remember that day so precisely? It's her birthday!Then still had warm days when she did not put on this coat, but these days there were not many. Our winters are not very cold, this year's snowfall was only 3 times. It turns out that my daughter wears a coat of about 2.5 months. She wears it to school 5 days a week, on weekends she puts it, when visits to classes on knitting. Daughters really like this coat! Today I took a few photos. My daughter goes to school with a satchel and its rough strap. I'm worried that felt affected by these straps. See for yourself whether this is so.

Jacket "Fuchsia"

Today has been a jacket, "Fuchsia", and tomorrow it leaves for the exhibition. Theme of "Flowers in the women's creative work. " Absolutely no time to make good pictures, but I really want to show the new work.I felt for a jacket made from Australian merino natural color 21 microns, a very gentle and not pricked. I "painted" fuchsia wool fiber. Then I sewed the jacket.
